Casa Luz

Monday

8:00-9:30 am wake up and hit the fitness center or play some pickle ball with your friends.

9:30-10:30 am enjoy a home-made breakfast at the lagoon dining table with the adult guests while the children eat at the indoor dining table.

10:30 am-1:00 pm jump on the golf cart(s) and head over to Kupuri Beach Club for beach, pool, massages and drink or food service (save room for lunch back at Casa Luz)

1:00-3:00 pm return to the villa and have a wonderful lunch with fresh blended drinks and ice cream and churros.  Enjoy some down time while the kids watch movies in the media room.

3:00-7:00 pm is a good time to split up, those that want to surf can ride the golf cart over to El Surf Club, others may want to ride/walk into town and shop or just roam the wonderful little pueblo. 

7:00-8:00 return to the villa for showers, a dip in the pool and getting dressed up for dinner in town.

8:00-9:30 have dinner at Mina for an amazing opening night Mexican dinner on the beach.

9:30-?  Finish your night with some street made churros or an ice cream bar from the local Oxxo right outside the main gates of Punta Mita.  Those adventurous ones from your group may head out at midnight for some street tacos after soaking away in the jacuzzi back at the villa

10:00-midnight enjoy the most relaxing beds in Punta Mita and drift off to sleep while dreaming about all you will do tomorrow.

Tuesday

9:00-10:00 am you can sleep in today, no need to work out or get up early.  Have some fresh coffee and read a book while you sit out by the pool. 

10:00-:10:30 have a quick and light breakfast since you have a busy day.  Fresh squeezed juices and fruits with yogurt and locally made granola.

10:30-4:00 pm you will head out to your swimming with the dolphins or zip lining adventure and enjoy lunch on site at the excursion(s)

4:00-7:00 pm enjoy some time in the jacuzzi while unwinding from a busy day or cool off in the pool.  This would be a great time for a nap.

7:00-9:00 pm you will enjoy an amazing catered Mexican Fiesta right in the villa.  Your fiesta will be amazing, pinatas, traditional Mexican food and tons of fun.

9:00-?  After a long and busy day, tonight is a great night to watch a family movie in the living room while enjoy whatever snacks you pre-stocked the villa with.

Wednesday

6:00-6:30 am some of the group has a fishing trip planned so get up early and have some breakfast burritos that were made the prior day for your early morning.

8:00-9:00 am the rest of the group enjoys fresh chilaquiles and pancakes for breakfast.

9:00-12:00 pm you will take the golf carts to El Surf club for lounging around while the kids rent surf and boogie boards.  Take a stroll down past the estate homes of Los Ranchos Estates and grab a taco at the nearby beach-side taco truck.

12:00-4:00 pm you will join back up with the early morning crew back from fishing while our chef prepares amazing fish tacos with the fish caught by the morning crew.  Spend the afternoon with no plans at all, perhaps a round of golf after lunch, or have 4 massage therapists come to the villa for some full body massages.  If the kids in your party are old enough, they can walk into town through the exclusive gate for Hacienda de Mita owners/guests only and buy some ice cold horchata or fresh made Mexican ice cream.  Now is a great time to relax and there is no reason to even leave Casa Luz if you do not want to.

4:00-9:00 pm  Head to Pacifico Beach Club and take a change of clothes in the golf cart because dinner during sunset here is amazing.  Enjoy the afternoon lounging by the pool or beach while the kids play in the calm and safe waves.  Feel free to walk down toward the Four Season Resort or head the other way and look for golf balls at the famous Tail of the Whale island green.  Get dinner right here at Pacifico.  Whether you decide to use the onsite showers and clean up a bit or simply eat in your swimwear and bare feet, you will feel welcome here and the food is amazing.  Try the shrimp wontons whatever you do.

9:00-?  Tonight would be a great night for a family night swim with an ice cream sundae bar poolside.  Just because the staff is gone, does not mean you cannot make yourself at home.  Mi casa es tu casa as they say and make yourself at home in the kitchen.  After swimming and an amazing outdoor shower, head to bed early tonight and each guest can watch their favorite movie on any of the large flat screen tvs in the bedrooms.  Don’t forget for the night owls, head into town for some amazing food carts, or any of the restaurants.

Thursday

8:30-10:00 am some may find it harder to wake early while others head out for 18 holes of golf.  As always enjoy a warm and fresh made breakfast.  Our main dining table can seat 14 easily to enjoy a large breakfast together today. 

10:00 am-5:00 pm Today head over to Sayulita for some world class surfing.  This beach town is great for shopping for souvenirs and enjoying a totally different vibe than what you will see in Punta Mita.  Find a great lunch spot, rent some bikes in town and just people watch.

5:00-7:00 pm you will be back at Casa Luz for pool time, jacuzzi, resting, or playing some spike ball in the oversized back yard. 

7:00-9:00 pm enjoy a classy dinner at Casa Teresa, which has some of the best Italian food you will ever taste.  This is a must while in Punta Mita. 

9:00-11:00 play cards back at the villa, watch movies or catch up on school or work while you are away. 

11:00-11:30 pm head to the Oxxo with the late night crew and grab a few magnum bars, some bottled Mexican coke and walk over to the best Al Pastor tacos around which are served street side in the tent near the parking lot. 

11:30-?  Your amazing beds will be calling by this time.  Enjoy.

Friday

8:30-10:00 am you will enjoy breakfast omelets of your choice, French toast and fruit. 

10:00 am-2:00 pm today seems like a great day to not even leave the villa.  Just relax while the staff prepares cold blended drinks next to the pool.  You may want to relax in the comfort of the villa most of the day and that is just fine.  Lunch can be homemade burgers on the grill with a fresh ceviche or salad of your choice.  Perhaps the kids will do hot dogs and French fries today. 

2:00-6:00 pm since you spent the day at the villa, today would be a great day to head over to the St Regis beach club for some afternoon swimming and a late afternoon snack at Mita Mary’s on the beach.  Depending on the day you may be able to enjoy the petting zoo complete with huge pythons, monkeys, insects and more.  The kids will love it. 

6:00-8:00 pm jump on the golf cart and head into town for some ice cold horchata or fresh fruit aguas from Wa Kika.  They have the best ice cream and Mexican popsicles too.  Some afternoons you can find piping hot churros sold street side so take your drinks and cruise around the streets a bit and see what you find.  It is always changing, and you will love experiencing the life of the locals in town.

8:00-9:30 pm Get dinner tonight at either Lobster Paradise if you want great traditional Mexican food or if you want trendy Mexican American fusion visit El Rustico. 

9:30-10:00 pm  Tonight the kids will enjoy a movie in the Media Room while the adults have some down time on the outside pool patio while enjoying drinks and each other’s company.

10:00-?  By now you know what your favorite things to do are so enjoy.

Saturday

7:00-9:00 am  Breakfast with huevos rancheros, bacon, and crepes. 

9:00 am-12:30 pm  go to your favorite beach club as you trip is winding down.  Do you want action and waves, head again to El Surf Club or for some R&R you can do Kupuri or Pacifico again. 

12:30-4:00 pm Enjoy a taco bar for lunch and choose from carne asada, chicken or pork.  Make sure to get your favorite frozen and blended drinks to cool off with.  Pool time, movies and naps are waiting for you.

4:00-8:00 pm You may decide to split up.  Perhaps some will do some afternoon shell collecting and tide pool exploring at Kupuri beach while others may head into town on the golf cart and rent a panga boat and cruise up and down the coast while looking at all the wonderful resorts and private homes.

8:00-9:30 pm Tonight try El Pescador for dinner and make sure to get the queso fundido with chorizo and add an order or two of the tableside guacamole.

9:30 pm-?  For your last night if you have not found the churros, get on the hunt.  Take the golf carts around town, its very safe and people are friendly.  Enjoy movies back at Casa Luz.  Finally, let your head hit our amazing pillows one more time and enjoy dreaming about your next trip to Casa Luz

Sunday

9:00 am-?  Depending on your departure flight, you will likely have your final breakfast then enjoy some relaxed packing, some pool time, maybe a golf cart ride into town for some snacks for the flight.  If your schedule allows you will also have a final lunch before your ride to the airport shows up.
